About The Position

The Senior Account Manager – Personal Care will sell Cargill Beauty/Personal Care technical products, nontechnical products such as citric acid and glycerin, services, and solutions to current and new customers. The role provides thought leadership to a sales team through a thorough understanding of the business, financials, products and services, market, and the needs and challenges of assigned accounts. Candidates must live close to a major airport to support travel requirements. Travel may be up to 50%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least four years of related work experience in sales for chemical products, personal care products, or a related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including air travel and driving to customer or business locations.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must live within close proximity to a major airport.

Nice To Haves

• More than five years of solution-selling experience in the personal care industry.
• Experience with key account management and distribution.

Responsibilities

• Inform customers of new products, services, and prices.
• Create, monitor, and maintain lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities, with guidance.
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
• Contribute to developing and delivering sales bids, proposals, and presentations, and conduct product demonstrations.
• Help develop medium- to long-term sales plans and prepare strategies to protect, grow, and diversify relationships with targeted customers.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision and escalate only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
