About The Position

The Senior Account Manager manages a commercial insurance book of business and handles complex insurance service tasks with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making. The role requires broad and deep knowledge of commercial insurance and the larger organization, along with leadership skills to serve as an expert resource and role model for less experienced colleagues. Although the position does not directly supervise others, functional supervision may occur to support team success. Book size may vary based on the employee’s capacity to handle additional tasks. The role also requires awareness of market conditions, providing feedback or training to team members at management’s request, and handling special projects. The Senior Account Manager provides professional service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, and supports Producers in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business. The role is responsible for account retention, may develop new business and round accounts, and oversees transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts. The employee assesses clients’ insurance objectives, analyzes coverage options, makes recommendations, resolves complex service issues, and may negotiate with underwriters and carriers. Additional duties include developing business from existing accounts and leads, conducting client meetings, maintaining accurate records in HUB systems, preparing reports, traveling on company business as required, and mentoring and training less experienced account staff. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the office. HUB offers structured training, licensing support, and ongoing development opportunities, as well as competitive pay, comprehensive health benefits, retirement savings matching, company-paid life and disability plans, paid time off, paid parental leave, and a wellbeing program.
