Senior Account Executive - New Business

Metova•Kansas City, MO

About The Position

This is a new-business-focused sales role responsible for building and owning a personal book of business, with most time dedicated to finding and closing new clients. The Senior Account Executive also owns relationships for a smaller group of existing clients and partners with leadership and delivery teams to scope work, develop proposals, and grow accounts. The role is based in Central Arkansas or Northwest Arkansas. The primary territory includes Arkansas and surrounding states—Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, and Tennessee—with openness to national accounts and remote clients. Some travel is expected. Compensation consists of a base salary plus commission, weighted toward new business, with uncapped earning potential.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling technology services such as custom software, IT services, consulting, or managed services.
  • Proven track record as a hunter, consistently sourcing and closing new clients rather than managing inherited accounts.
  • Experience running full-cycle sales from cold outreach through contract signature.
  • Comfort communicating with technical and executive buyers.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and how project-based and retainer engagements are sold.
  • Based in Central Arkansas or Northwest Arkansas.
  • Some travel is expected.

Nice To Haves

  • An existing network in Arkansas or the surrounding region.
  • Experience selling nearshore or offshore services.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, build, and close a personal pipeline of new clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a select group of existing clients and identify opportunities to expand those relationships.
  • Sell custom software development, mobile and web applications, and managed services engagements.
  • Position the nearshore delivery team in Guadalajara as a cost and time-zone advantage.
  • Partner with delivery and technical leads to scope projects, estimate work, and write proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Keep the sales pipeline current and report on and forecast sales and deal activity.
  • Build a regional presence through industry events, local business groups, and referral partners.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual new revenue targets.
