GitHub is seeking a Senior Accessibility Program Manager to help implement its accessibility strategy and drive change internally and externally. The role reports directly to the Head of Accessibility. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of accessibility, assistive technologies, and how people with disabilities interact with technology; technical expertise grounded in professional software development or design experience; hands-on experience using AI and automation to improve accessibility at scale; experience managing accessibility initiatives within a large matrixed organization; and a track record of delivering results that empower people with disabilities to use technology. GitHub’s accessibility program aims to make the workplace accessible for employees, help developers with disabilities build on GitHub, help customers meet accessibility goals, and improve accessibility across open source. The role may contribute to all these goals. Initial priorities include managing inclusive user research and feedback systems, building an accessibility community of practice among Enterprise customers, and growing the capabilities and adoption of GitHub’s open-source accessibility scanner.
