About The Position

Humana’s Digital Health Platform (DHP) Product Engineering team builds shared foundations for consumer digital experiences, including accessibility tooling. The Senior Product Engineer, Accessibility owns products that help Humana teams build accessible web and mobile experiences from the start. Product teams across Humana are the customers of these accessibility products, and the work benefits Humana members and patients. The role sets direction for products such as automated accessibility testing in pipelines, accessibility linters, accessibility health dashboards, and AI agent skills. It involves building these products alongside product engineers, rolling out and integrating commercial accessibility testing tools, measuring adoption and outcomes, and enabling teams through guidance, checklists, training, and office hours. The role also contributes to Humana’s Digital Accessibility Program, which is organized around reusable instructions, or “skills,” followed by AI agents. The employee will use existing skills, create new ones, and deliver skills for other teams to use. The position also maintains accessibility policies and standards, coordinates audits, supplies technical evidence to legal partners for compliance reviews and complaint responses, administers vendors, and helps Procurement assess consumer-facing software and vendor accessibility documentation. Candidates with disabilities, including people who use assistive technology daily, are welcome; Humana supports IAAP certification for those who do not already hold it. This is a remote position with occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings. Home or hybrid home/office employees must provide internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, and work from a dedicated space without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The stated annual base pay range is $106,900–$147,000, with eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.
