About The Position

The Digital Accessibility Test Engineer will work onsite in Sacramento, California. The client is seeking a senior digital accessibility professional with extensive experience in WCAG 2.2 Level AA, Section 508, accessibility testing, front-end development, and accessible web and mobile design. The role involves designing for accessibility standards, performing automated and manual accessibility testing, inspecting application code, and applying design and development methodologies across web and mobile applications.

Requirements

• Ten years of digital accessibility experience designing for accessibility standards and requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
• Ten years of digital accessibility experience performing automated and manual testing using screen readers, text-to-speech tools, development tools, and color-contrast validation tools.
• Ten years of web application experience and manual code inspection to validate accessible design practices.
• Ten years of experience with web, mobile, and web application design, front-end development, and testing methodologies.
• Strong experience designing patterns, design systems, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Design web experiences that meet accessibility standards and requirements, including Section 508 and WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria.
• Perform automated and manual accessibility testing using screen readers, text-to-speech tools, development tools, and color-contrast validation tools.
• Manually inspect web application code to validate accessible design practices.
