About The Position

This course examines the rich and complex modern history of feminism and girlhoods in South Asia through an intersectional lens. Students will explore how a variety of social and political factors, including caste, religion and postcolonialism, have interplayed with gender to shape the histories and experiences of women and gender minorities in the region.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field.
  • Active research program in the domain.
  • Competence in second language: Passive.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Seminar in Asian History: Gender, Feminisms and Girlhoods in Modern South Asia (HIS4184A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester.
  • Deliver instruction in English.
  • Conduct classes on Thursdays from 14:30 to 17:30.
