About The Position

As a semiconductor engineering technician, you understand the building blocks of electronic systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to how law enforcement investigates modern technology. We’re looking for a technician who can use their skills to develop novel capabilities to recover data from damaged devices or investigate possible integrated circuit (IC) counterfeiting or tampering.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with the design, fabrication, or validation testing of semiconductor processes and CMOS design or failure analysis
  • Experience working in an electronics lab, developing new test and evaluation procedures
  • Experience with silicon wafer, chip, or package sample prep through physical and chemical means
  • Experience in imaging with the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) or Focused Ion Beam (FIB)
  • Experience with technical documentation and capturing lab notes
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fault isolation
  • Experience with embedded flash memory technology

Responsibilities
