Requirements

• One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must be in possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• A conditional offer of employment will require medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, flower beds, walkways, and outdoor areas
• Clear snow and ice from walkways, ramps, docks, and steps during winter months
• Operate lawn equipment, hand tools, chain saws, and snow blowers as assigned
• Load, unload, deliver, and store furniture and equipment throughout the facility
• Support skilled trades staff with digging trenches, mixing mortar, cleaning drains, and other manual tasks
• Perform pickup and delivery of infectious waste according to facility procedures
