About The Position

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is looking for a Park Maintenance Worker who enjoys hands-on work and improving outdoor spaces. This job lets you see the impact of your efforts every day as you help maintain park grounds, buildings, and equipment. You will be part of a team that supports safe and welcoming environments for visitors. Your work will help protect natural areas for future generations. This position focuses on maintaining park facilities, grounds, and equipment to support daily operations and visitor safety. It involves a mix of repair work, grounds care, and general upkeep across the park.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out basic repairs to park buildings and structures using tools from multiple trades
  • Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment used in park upkeep
  • Maintain turf, trees, shrubs, and general outdoor areas using a variety of tools and machinery
  • Apply paint or stain to park buildings, signs, gates, and other structures
  • Clean and supply park buildings and complete minor routine repairs
  • Follow all safety rules, maintain tools properly, and attend required safety meetings
