About The Position

The Semi Driver is responsible for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle to pick up raw material with attention to prompt and efficient customer service. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM. This role involves running established routes, picking up raw materials, weighing them in when returning to the plant, and weighing in and out of customer locations as needed. The driver is responsible for ensuring loads are tarped, maintaining cleanliness at customer locations, and keeping the company vehicle in clean condition. Safety is paramount, including conducting all safety checks and inspections of the vehicle, operating the vehicle under state, federal, and local regulations, and adhering to company policy and safety rules. Maintaining excellent customer relations through a professional appearance and attitude is also a key responsibility. The driver must complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, maintain and update the vehicle condition report daily, and manage DOT hours of service with an onboard computer in accordance with company policy. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current CDL Class A license holder with Tanker Endorsement
  • Clean MVR
  • Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc.)
  • Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily
  • Maintain DOT hours of service with onboard computer in accordance with company policy
