About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring immediately for a Semi Driver. The pay is dependent on experience, with a typical range starting between $24 - $32 per hour, paid weekly. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday with an occasional rotating on-call schedule, and the typical shift is from 7 AM to 5 PM, with overtime eligibility. Requirements

Unrestricted Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a semi.
Physical agility to load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Customer-oriented with the ability to instruct customers on equipment operation.
Team-player with effective and professional communication skills.
Safety-oriented with a commitment to safety standards and a safe driving record.
Coachable with a willingness to learn, adapt, and meet Sunstate's standard of excellence.
Detail-oriented with the capability to provide superior customer service.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a wrecker or flatbed driver hauling heavy construction equipment.
Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Drive a semi-truck locally.
Load, offload, and secure equipment with chains and binders.
Instruct customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.
Complete paperwork.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Maintain communication with co-workers and customers effectively and professionally.
Prioritize safety and maintain a safe driving record.
