About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Innovation Intern to support the design, development, and implementation of automation and AI-driven solutions across our operations and technology teams. This role is ideal for a college senior or MBA candidate with a strong technical foundation and interest in applying emerging technologies (Python, AI, and Microsoft Power Platform) to real-world business challenges. The intern will work on high-impact initiatives focused on workflow automation, data integration, and AI-enabled process improvements.

Requirements

Current undergraduate (junior/senior) or MBA student
Proficiency in Python (required)
Familiarity with APIs, data handling (JSON, CSV), and basic software development practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

Preferred majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform preferred
Interest in AI/ML concepts and prompt engineering
Experience with process automation or workflow tools
Data analysis or visualization
AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)
Low-code/no-code platforms

Responsibilities

Build and maintain Python scripts for data processing, API integrations, and automation use cases
Support development of tools that streamline underwriting, operations, and reporting workflows
Design, test, and optimize AI prompts for business use cases (e.g., summarization, document processing, decision support)
Assist in evaluating AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based solutions) for operational efficiency gains
Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
Help identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and improve workflow efficiency
Collaborate on low-code solutions that integrate with enterprise systems
Partner with business and technology teams to map processes and identify automation opportunities
Assist with API-based integrations and data pipelines between internal and external systems
Document technical solutions and support testing and deployment
Work cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, IT, and data teams
Participate in agile-style working sessions, solution design discussions, and testing cycles
Present findings, demos, and recommendations to stakeholders
