About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Innovation Intern to support the design, development, and implementation of automation and AI-driven solutions across our operations and technology teams. This role is ideal for a college senior or MBA candidate with a strong technical foundation and interest in applying emerging technologies (Python, AI, and Microsoft Power Platform) to real-world business challenges. The intern will work on high-impact initiatives focused on workflow automation, data integration, and AI-enabled process improvements.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate (junior/senior) or MBA student
  • Proficiency in Python (required)
  • Familiarity with APIs, data handling (JSON, CSV), and basic software development practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform preferred
  • Interest in AI/ML concepts and prompt engineering
  • Experience with process automation or workflow tools
  • Data analysis or visualization
  • AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot)
  • Low-code/no-code platforms

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Python scripts for data processing, API integrations, and automation use cases
  • Support development of tools that streamline underwriting, operations, and reporting workflows
  • Design, test, and optimize AI prompts for business use cases (e.g., summarization, document processing, decision support)
  • Assist in evaluating AI tools (e.g., Copilot, LLM-based solutions) for operational efficiency gains
  • Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
  • Help identify opportunities to digitize manual processes and improve workflow efficiency
  • Collaborate on low-code solutions that integrate with enterprise systems
  • Partner with business and technology teams to map processes and identify automation opportunities
  • Assist with API-based integrations and data pipelines between internal and external systems
  • Document technical solutions and support testing and deployment
  • Work cross-functionally with underwriting, operations, IT, and data teams
  • Participate in agile-style working sessions, solution design discussions, and testing cycles
  • Present findings, demos, and recommendations to stakeholders
