About The Position

QSAC is hiring part-time NYS Certified Special Education Teachers for our home and community based SEIT program in the NYC boroughs. We offer flexible schedules with a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 20+ hours. All programmatic instruction is designed and implemented according to the principles and procedures of applied behavior analysis (ABA). This is an opportunity to join a team of dedicated behavior analysts and certified teachers and make a difference. The salary range for this position is $55.00-$65.00 an hour. Hours are 8am-6pm. There is an urgent need for SEIT Teachers with availability during school hours.

Requirements

New York State Students with Disabilities B-2 Initial or Professional certification required.
Demonstrate patience and ability to learn and utilize systematic procedures to enhance independence and quality of life.
Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.

Nice To Haves

Experience with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and applied behavior analysis is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

Design and implement programmatic instruction according to the principles and procedures of applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Provide services in the child's home, an approved or licensed pre-Kindergarten or Head Start program, a non-special education school setting, or a childcare location selected by the parent.
Enhance independence and quality of life for children served.
Communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
