About The Position

The Segment Marketing Manager (SMM) is responsible for driving global demand for the ACS offering in the Semiconductor manufacturing equipment market and other assigned markets. This role focuses on creating and supporting strategic business development initiatives, gathering and reporting high‑level customer feedback, producing application‑specific technical marketing content, and gathering and reporting market intelligence. Requirements

  • 5+ years product management / product marketing experience in the semiconductor equipment market, or precision motion systems market
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor equipment applications with demanding motion control requirements (inspection, metrology, packaging, etc.).
  • Additional experience in non-semiconductor equipment applications preferred
  • Experience with customer/application research and creating marketing content
  • Ability to analyze markets, identify trends, and quantify opportunities
  • Strong communication skills; able to produce concise, actionable reports
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (advanced degree - advantage)
  • Domestic and international (up to 33%) to customers and industry events

Responsibilities

  • Business Development
  • Perform market studies and develop business plan proposals to support strategic business development initiatives
  • Identify prospective customers and work with sales managers to create an account plan to raise ACS awareness and access at engineering and key economic buyer levels. Arrange, prepare for, and join meetings with key OEM targets
  • Provide application insight that strengthens ACS positioning during customer engagements
  • Voice of Customer (Segment-Focused)
  • Conduct structured interviews and on‑site discussions with semiconductor equipment OEMs - primarily engaging with engineering management, product management, and senior management
  • Document application requirements, performance drivers, unmet needs and use cases.
  • Support Product Management delivering VOC interview summaries that help to define product requirements and set priorities
  • Technical Marketing Content (Segment-Focused)
  • Create and manage a portfolio of technical and sales enablement content that is application‑specific content
  • Content creation includes webinars, in-person seminars, articles, white papers, application success stories, short videos, social media posts & more
  • Communicate with internal subject matter experts to inform material
  • Support Product Marketing by helping to create and review sales enablement materials
  • Coordinate with and support Marketing Communications with all internal & external messaging to employees, customers and markets
  • Market Intelligence
  • Meet and interview customers/partners/market players to understand customer needs, market trends and potential, competitive intelligence
  • Attend major industry events to track key technology and application trends
  • Support PMM with competitive intelligence including products, sales & marketing strategy and key activities
  • Educate sales, marketing & management on all Semiconductor market trends
