About The Position

We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Segment Buyer. Specifically responsible for Divisional Segment Purchasing of Metals, in support of multiple Product Lines. Works within a purchasing team to create a purchasing strategy for a segment of goods. Supports Product Area Manager & Global Lead Buyer. Evaluates vendor quotes, services, and savings, to determine the most desirable suppliers. Works all aspects of vendor relationship management and lifecycle. Supports divisional workshops & Zero-Defect Strategy with Supplier Quality. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function as it relates specifically to Raw Materials purchasing, new technology and manufacturing methods.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
Purchasing, Standard Components, Raw Material Trends, Engineering and Quality knowledge
Willingness to Travel up to 20% - Domestically and Internationally
