About The Position

The EHSS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with all employee health, safety, and security (EHSS) regulations and company requirements at the facility. This role leads efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate workplace risks while promoting a strong safety and security culture, with limited support for applicable environmental requirements. Responsibilities include conducting health, safety, and security audits, inspections, and risk assessments; identifying hazards and vulnerabilities; and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The Supervisor leads investigations, root cause analyses, and the implementation of EHSS policies, processes, and procedures. This role oversees the investigation and documentation of injuries, illnesses, security incidents, and near misses, ensuring reporting accuracy and coordination with workers’ compensation or external partners as needed. The EHSS Supervisor also supports site security practices, including access control, badge management, and visitor protocols. Additionally, the role develops and delivers training on hazard recognition, emergency response, workplace violence prevention, and site security protocols, while supporting emergency preparedness activities and drills. Major responsibilities of this position are outlined below. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of the EHSS Director. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • 3-5 years demonstrated on-the-job experience in Employee Health, Safety, and Security preferably in a manufacturing, fulfillment, and warehouse environment.
  • Must have valid driver’s license (required).
  • Knowledge and experience with Federal OSHA/NIOSH and local government health, safety, and security regulations, and other regulatory regulations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products; demonstrated experience designing and using Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint and/other Microsoft products.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED Certified or can be certified are required.
  • Strong oral and written communication, with ability to organize and prioritize.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated comprehension skills are required.

  • College-level or ASSP safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve site-specific policies, procedures, and SOPs aligned with corporate standards.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to EHSS Officers, including coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, and professional development to ensure consistent and effective program execution.
  • Manage EHSS programs such as contractor safety, safe work permits, powered industrial trucks, lifts/hoists, electrical safety, process safety management, emergency action planning, crisis management, and emergency response.
  • Promote and drive corporate EHSS expectations and initiatives in support of a Zero Harm culture.
  • Partner with leadership and employees to provide guidance on health, safety, and security requirements.
  • Ensure EHSS training programs are comprehensive, compliant, and completed, including training on incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Lead and oversee the reporting and investigation of all incidents, including injuries, near misses, first aid cases, and security events, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain compliance for powered industrial truck certification and operator training records.
  • Conduct training and assessments related to first aid/CPR/AED and ergonomics, including ergonomic evaluations.
  • Compile, analyze, and communicate incident data, including trends and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and manage EHSS reporting systems in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Investigate workplace hazards and concerns including injuries, near misses, property damage, and security incidents and partners with leadership on corrective actions.
  • Creates and supports safety committees by providing training, coordination, and subject matter expertise.
