About The Position

The Security Supervisor supports the Security Manager in the day-to-day operation of the security department, helping to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. This role provides on-shift leadership to security staff, monitors compliance with venue policies and procedures, and helps maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The Security Supervisor assists in responding to incidents, conducting patrols, monitoring premises, and helping prevent theft, violence, and violations of venue rules while contributing to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction under the direction of the Security Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Security License required.
  • Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
  • Proven ability to effectively de-escalate tense or high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism and guest safety.
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  • A keen sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with Security Manager and venue management Team to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Managing relationships with third party security includes scheduling/managing labour.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other people to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Moves throughout the venue and all areas to visually monitor and take corrective action when needed.
  • Provides guidance and improvement and implements necessary adjustments.
  • Investigates and resolves security complaints.
  • Interacts positively with guests.
  • Circulating among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Trains, supervises, counsels and disciplines security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
  • All other duties assigned by the Security Manager and venue management.
