About The Position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department. This role supports and administers operational goals, monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives, and adheres to scheduling with attention to guest satisfaction. The supervisor enforces internal control policies, underage gambling and drinking laws, and maintains safety and inspection reports for the property. They conduct regular security post inspections, prepare security incident reports, and maintain security logs. This position reports guest and team member concerns to management, ensures security team members adhere to uniform standards, and interacts with regulatory, fire/rescue, and law enforcement agencies. The role is responsible for supporting compliance with departmental budgets and enthusiastically promotes superior customer service. They ensure customer service standards are followed and address issues as they arise, while also ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements within their area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management. Strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters is maintained.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of casino Security, military, or police experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Current Guard Card from California BSIS.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Must obtain a First Aid/AED certification.
  • Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training.
  • Ability to earn and maintain RBS Certification within 60 days of employment.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Manage work procedures and expedite workflow.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to team members.
