About The Position

This role involves assisting in the supervision of Security Officers during an assigned shift. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining adequate staffing levels, conducting patrols to identify and report hazards, and acting as a backup to Security Officers. The position also requires preparing incident reports, guarding money and chip transfers, and ensuring a high level of guest service. Additionally, the supervisor will facilitate information flow through departmental meetings and maintain accurate departmental records. A key aspect of the role is creating and implementing an employee engagement strategy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have a minimum of one year of supervisor and guest services experience.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • An Associates of Arts degree in any field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in law enforcement or gaming security strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.
  • Maintains adequate staffing levels, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting and disciplining employees, as needed.
  • Patrols the property on assigned shift, identifying potential security and/or safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual, to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and the entire facility.
  • Acts as a back-up to Security Officers on assigned shift, and assumes their duties when necessary.
  • Prepares and requests reports on incidents involving guests, employees and/or the facility, as needed.
  • Guards transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor, as well as the physical transportation of chip fills and credits.
  • Interacts with guests and employees in a positive, professional manner.
  • Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.
  • Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
  • Create and utilize a comprehensive and sustainable employee engagement strategy through both formal and informal feedback as well as constant communication.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
