About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Shift Supervisor in Berlin, Connecticut. The position pays $27.62 per hour and is part-time, including overnight shifts Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday. Paid orientation and paid training are provided.

The Security Shift Supervisor supervises and coordinates the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer location. The role serves as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager or Field Operations Manager, and security officers. The supervisor oversees staff on the assigned shift and provides coaching, recognition, and discipline within the approved empowerment range.

Applicants must meet the listed education, age, communication, security experience, and driving requirements. The work may involve varied weather and surfaces, and physical activity including standing or walking for extended periods, occasional stair or ladder climbing, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience.
• At least 2 years of security experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels and the general public.
• Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
• Ability to prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting.
• Ability to read and understand operating procedures and instructions.
• A valid driver's license and at least one year of driving experience for driving positions.
• For driving positions: clean driving record, including no major violations within the last 36 months, no more than one accident in the last 24 months, and no more than one minor moving violation in the last 24 months; required minimum insurance; and ability to operate a vehicle safely.
• Successful completion of a background investigation and post-offer/pre-employment drug and alcohol test; a driver's record check may also be required.
• Intermediate computer skills to use wireless technology at client-specific sites.
• Ability to handle common and crisis situations at the client site calmly and efficiently.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in cold, rainy, snowy, or hot weather; occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds; occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders; and stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
