About The Position

Universal Atlantic Systems (UAS), now part of the Zeus Fire & Security family, is seeking a Business Development Representative to expand its footprint in asset-heavy, outdoor-based industries. This role is designed for a proactive seller who understands the risks faced by businesses in sectors like automotive, agriculture, equipment rental, and outdoor storage and logistics, and can position security solutions as a strategic business advantage. UAS has a 50-year legacy of protecting businesses across North America with custom-designed fire, intrusion, video surveillance, and access control solutions, serving over 8,000 businesses.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in business development, direct sales, or lead generation.
  • Experience or familiarity with auto, ag, or outdoor-heavy industries.
  • Sharp communication skills and consultative sales instincts.
  • Ability to uncover prospect pain points and position custom solutions.
  • Comfortable using CRM platforms and sales tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but hustle and results matter more.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage companies in verticals like auto dealerships, farm equipment providers, storage yards, construction fleets, and equipment rental.
  • Sell the UAS suite of services; including monitoring, intrusion detection, and remote video solutions to protect people, property, and profits.
  • Use industry knowledge to speak the customer’s language and build trust quickly.
  • Prospect consistently across outbound channels (cold calls, email, LinkedIn, industry events, etc.).
  • Research accounts using vertical-specific tools (e.g., dealer listings, auction platforms, regional business directories).
  • Track and manage leads and pipeline in CRM.
  • Meet (and ideally exceed) weekly activity and revenue targets.
  • Travel occasionally to meet clients or attend trade shows.
