About The Position

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Project Manager. The Security Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering physical security technology projects across corporate offices, campuses, and/or data center environments. This role requires strong project management skills combined with a working knowledge of access control systems, CCTV/video surveillance, and basic IP networking principles to effectively coordinate vendors, internal stakeholders, and technical teams.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of project management experience, preferably in physical security or low-voltage technology projects
  • Experience managing vendors, integrators, and multi-site deployments
  • Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable working in operational environments (corporate offices, construction sites, data centers)
  • Working knowledge of access control systems
  • Working knowledge of CCTV / video surveillance systems
  • Understanding of basic IP networking concepts, including: IP addressing, VLANs, PoE (Power over Ethernet), Network switches, Bandwidth considerations
  • Familiarity with system integrations between security platforms and enterprise IT networks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with IT/network teams without requiring deep engineering expertise

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with enterprise access control and VMS platforms
  • Experience in corporate, campus, or data center security environments
  • PMP, CAPM, or security-focused project management certification a plus
  • Familiarity with construction coordination and facilities workflows

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end security technology projects, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (Security, IT, Facilities, Real Estate, Legal) and external vendors/integrators
  • Oversee system design reviews to ensure solutions meet security standards, operational needs, and technical requirements
  • Track project milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure on-time and on-budget execution
  • Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and close-out activities
  • Review drawings, scopes of work, submittals, and change orders
  • Conduct site walks and validate installations against approved designs
  • Manage vendor performance, escalations, and issue resolution
  • Ensure documentation is completed, including as-built drawings, system configurations, and handover packages
  • Provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders
