About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Response Security Officer in Oakland, California. The officer’s duties may vary by day and special event and include customer service, patrols, and surveillance. The role requires adapting to changing assignments while helping protect people and property. The position offers several schedule options: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM; or Saturday and Sunday, 32 hours per week, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; or Tuesday and Wednesday, 32 hours per week, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The hourly wage is $25.75. A uniform is provided at no cost.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in the United States.
Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
Have at least 1 year of security officer experience.
Have a valid California driver's license.
Be able to think quickly and adapt to changing situations.
Have strong responsiveness and problem-solving skills.
Have a state security license (Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
