About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol Security Officer for an electric utility position in Cumberland, Maryland, serving a chemical and petrochemical location. The officer helps safeguard clients by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, deterring security-related incidents, and providing customer service. The role includes responding to incidents and alarms, identifying and reporting concerns, and completing required documentation. The posted pay rate is $17.25 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday and Friday, 4:00 AM–12:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations professionally and calmly, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor and report access control concerns, suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate site personnel or Allied Universal supervision.
Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and promptly.
