About The Position

As a Security Patio and SOC Operator Officer in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional financial institution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry activity, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas through professional screening and documentation practices.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting unusual activity, access issues, and/or facility concerns while working in environments and conditions that may vary by location.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, and incident reports, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related events and daily activity.
