About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution in Santa Ana, California. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff. The role involves helping create a welcoming, secure environment and protecting cultural materials and property. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 AM–2:30 PM, and Saturday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM. The pay rate is $23.25 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control or badge experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, performing emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public areas, entrances, galleries, storage areas, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and help deter unauthorized access or prohibited activity.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
Complete required activity reports and maintain a professional presence while helping protect cultural materials and property.
