About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Newark, New Jersey, to provide security services at an assigned financial institution. The role offers a consistent weekly anchor shift at a designated site, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may be at multiple sites, and hours can vary up to 40 per week. The stated pay rate is $18.00 per hour. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, lobby, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership about security observations, incidents, and shift activities.
