About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Adelanto, California. The position provides a fixed, dependable weekly shift at an assigned government human services location, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, offering the opportunity to increase hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The role pays $20.46 per hour. The scheduled anchor shift is Saturday, 6:45 AM–3:45 PM. Duties include customer service and unarmed patrols, along with monitoring access points, reporting concerns, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and personnel at a government human services location while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, following established site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security observations.
