About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an experienced unarmed patrol Security Officer for Branch Flex assignments in Flowood, Mississippi. The officer will safeguard clients across varied industries and sites, gaining hands-on experience in diverse work environments and opportunities for career advancement. The schedule is expected to be 30–40 hours per week and varies week to week through manager-assigned shifts and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly; irregular shifts may be assigned with little to no advance notice to support client needs. The pay rate is $15.86 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Availability to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Ability to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire departments in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators about rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
