About The Position

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer serves and safeguards clients across industries such as healthcare, education, finance, and retail. The role provides hands-on experience across diverse work environments and opportunities to build skills and advance within the security industry. The position is based in Corpus Christi, Texas, and pays $16.37 per hour.

The position offers 30–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly, and officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. Officers must be willing to travel varying distances to assigned locations.

Requirements

• Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be willing to travel varying distances to assigned work locations.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require being at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in the event of a fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal follows client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
