About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to safeguard clients across a range of industries and work at varied sites. The position offers hands-on experience and exposure to different work environments, with opportunities to develop skills and advance within the company.

The role offers 8–40 hours per week. Schedules vary week to week and combine manager-assigned shifts with shifts claimed through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly. Officers may be assigned irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to meet client needs. The position is in Forest, Mississippi, and pays $15.48 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active Department of Defense Confidential clearance.
• Availability for varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments.
• Availability for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Ability to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation, consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators about rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure removals comply with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary under site Post Orders.
