About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Entry Credentialing in McDonough, Georgia. The role provides consistent assigned-site hours, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. The designated site and weekly anchor shift require a six-month commitment. Employees may work part-time or pick up shifts to build toward as many as 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The stated schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific access-control procedures. Duties include monitoring access at a retail distribution location, checking authorization for entry and exit, keeping required records, controlling access to restricted areas, responding to incidents, and conducting patrols. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a retail distribution location, verify authorization for entry and exit, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records as required by site procedures.
• Control access for employees, vendors, and vehicles entering restricted areas, escalating unauthorized access attempts or credential concerns according to established protocols.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, business operations, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
