About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a College in Boston, MA. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, performance and practice spaces, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, facility concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and maintain professional communication with campus personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
