About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a college in Boston, MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in educational environments. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors through exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, performance spaces, residence areas, parking locations, and campus perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site procedures.
Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
