About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a College in Boston MA. This role involves serving and safeguarding clients in educational environments. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will work collaboratively to support a welcoming campus environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, performance spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns, and document incidents through required reporting procedures.
Support a welcoming learning and creative environment by providing directions, assisting with non-emergency inquiries, and communicating professionally with campus stakeholders.
