About The Position

Allied Universal is currently hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a College in Roxbury MA. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site-specific procedures.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
