About The Position

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Minooka, Illinois, you will help safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and maintain a professional presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role supports a welcoming environment through clear communication, routine checks, and customer service.

This is a full-time position with a listed pay rate of $20.81 per hour. The schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Computer or tablet comfort is preferred. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue and retrieve visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond calmly to access control alarms, unauthorized entry attempts, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, receiving and shipping areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership about incidents, access concerns, and other security-related matters.
