About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a food and beverage facility in Champaign, Illinois. The role involves managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, maintaining visitor records, and providing customer service and clear communication while helping deter security-related incidents. The position also supports facility protocols for restricted areas, deliveries, and personnel movement.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Customer service experience.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-control records.
Respond calmly to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and restricted locations to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
Follow site protocols for restricted areas, delivery access, and personnel movement at a food and beverage facility.
