About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring for a part-time enhanced security role at an assigned site in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Monday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the pay rate is $19.73 per hour.

The role supports security operations at a logistics and distribution location. The officer provides customer service, manages access and vehicle activity, patrols the site, and responds to incidents in accordance with site procedures. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed work, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet applicable screening and licensing requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while following site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials, managing visitor and contractor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound vehicle access at gates and loading areas, including driver check-in, deliveries, pickups, and trailer movements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, warehouse areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, and report security-related concerns.
