About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Lockport, Illinois. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service and communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and pays $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas, entry points, and the perimeter.
Monitor access activity and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Assist with visitor management, employee support, and incident documentation according to site-specific procedures.
