About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role involves safeguarding the site through routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, deterring incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position pays $22.36 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The officer will follow site-specific procedures and policies, respond to incidents and alarms, conduct unarmed patrols, monitor access points, report unusual conditions, and complete shift documentation. An active DoD Secret Clearance is required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the stated age requirement for unarmed roles. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements.
Requirements

- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts.
- Complete daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications according to site requirements.
