Security Officer - Operations Part-Time
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology and telecommunications location in Chandler, Arizona. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting access control. The officer provides customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related concerns. The schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The pay rate is $24.72 per hour. The position is described as an unarmed patrol role.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with access control and badge systems.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- Monitor access activity and verify credentials according to site requirements, supporting controlled entry to restricted areas.
- Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and security concerns, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
