About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for alarm response at a government location in Jacksonville, Florida. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to site needs, and provide customer service and clear communication. The posted pay rate is $22.66 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The role includes paid training and access to opportunities for career growth.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- An armed guard card or license.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Alarm panel experience.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe and report unusual conditions or suspicious activity, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Follow post orders, communicate professionally with site personnel, and support security-related operations as assigned.
