As a Security Officer Unarmed Bicycle Patrol in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at public school locations, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific procedures, school policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; report suspicious behavior, unauthorized access attempts, and facility concerns to designated personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and security-related activities.
