As a Security Officer School Patrol in Stony Brook, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out security-related procedures, campus policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, residence areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and campus information, and report access-control concerns in accordance with established procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.
