About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned corporate technology site in Arlington, Virginia. The role provides a dependable fixed weekly schedule, with a six-month commitment to the designated site and shift. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The position pays $21.75 per hour.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site security procedures, including patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and documentation. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only; licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a corporate technology location while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned locations; identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and document access-related concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
