About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer performing X-ray image review in Sterling, Virginia, you will safeguard a financial institution by helping maintain a professional, secure environment. You will operate screening equipment, monitor access points, verify badges, and assist visitors and employees. A visible presence and strong communication skills help deter security-related incidents while you provide customer service. The role follows site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen people and permitted items entering designated areas using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; communicate prohibited-item or access concerns to site leadership.
Verify visitor credentials, direct guests to appropriate locations, and maintain accurate visitor and screening-related documentation in accordance with site policies.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, lobby areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
