About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer serving a logistics and distribution location in Davenport, Florida, you will help safeguard clients by screening individuals, packages, and materials, monitoring access points, and identifying security-related concerns. You will provide attentive customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while maintaining a professional presence and supporting smooth site operations. The role pays $16.00 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A shift-claiming platform lets officers view and claim additional shifts. The position includes site-specific screening procedures, access control, incident response, and regular and random patrols. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Screen individuals, packages, and other items entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location according to established procedures.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors.
Identify and report irregularities, prohibited items, or policy violations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations using a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter.
