About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Image Review in Reading, Pennsylvania. This role provides a fixed, designated site and weekly anchor shift, with a required six-month commitment. In addition to the assigned shift, officers may claim extra shifts through the company scheduling platform. The role is intended for part-time employment, with the possibility of increasing hours up to 40 per week and the option to scale back.

The position pays $18.99 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 2:30 AM–9:30 AM. Candidates must have at least one year of relevant, verifiable security experience. Customer service and X-ray screening experience are preferred. Employment is conditional on applicable background and drug screening.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant, verifiable security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or drivers while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Screen authorized personnel, visitors, packages, and/or property according to location policies and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations while following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the business perimeter and loading or distribution areas, as required by the location.
